The Hispanic population in the US has grown into the largest minority in the country. In fact, there are many parts of the US where Spanish is the dominating language to such an extent that English speakers might not be understood at all. With over 40 million and counting, the Hispanic population has grown into about 14 percent of the total US population.  These figures prove conclusively the growing significance of Spanish translation especially in the areas of Spanish to English, and English to Spanish translation.

Almost all kinds of organizations across every field be it healthcare, food service, education, finance, manufacturing, government or legal in the United States, has been influenced by this rapid growth of Spanish population. Universities in the US have been offering academic programs on marketing and selling to US based Hispanics.

Spanish is going to stay and grow in the United States which is good news for professional Spanish translators. If you are a Spanish translator it is the right time to look into your specializations, whether it is your language pairs or the fields in which you work. For translation buyers with business interests in the US, it is important that they get their business related content from legal documents to publicity materials to training manuals to their company/product website translated to Spanish. It would ensure that their products/services reach a substantially larger population.
